It's no secret: AVID educators nationwide are renowned for their unparalleled dedication and profound impact on the students they serve. That is why this year, we are celebrating the official inaugural AVID Day on August 30, 2024.  Join the celebration by declaring what your impact will be in the 2024–25 school year. Educators and students can declare their impact by completing a declaration of impact statement, setting your intention for the impact you will have this year.

What Is AVID Day?

This first-ever celebration honors the impact of AVID educators, students, schools, and districts across the nation. As AVID was founded in San Diego, the city’s mayor and city council are recognizing August 30, 2024, as AVID Day, and a proclamation was issued during the New General Session Experience at the San Diego 2 Summer Institute.

How to Participate

Join us on Friday, August 30, by completing a declaration of impact statement located in our AVID Impact Kit below. We encourage you to take a picture with your declaration of impact statement and post it on social media tagging #AVIDImpact and our AVID accounts.
