AVID is proud to be Code.org’s regional training partner for the states of Washington, Montana, Oregon, Idaho, and Wyoming

Computer science is a foundational skill that is often overlooked in K-12 education, leaving students underserved and creating large equity and diversity gaps in tech. We believe any educator can integrate computer science into their classroom.

Since becoming a Code.org regional partner in 2019, AVID has trained 1,700 educators and engaged over 38,000 students through the partnership work.

Join us as we establish, grow, and sustain a local community of educators with on-going implementation support, community events, and resources to prepare learners for the future.

What is the AVID and Code.org Regional Partnership?

AVID and Code.org are working together to bring computer science opportunities to more educators across Washington, Montana, Oregon, Idaho, and Wyoming.

For almost three years, the partnership has engaged educators who want to bring computer science curriculum into their schools and classrooms efficiently and for the best outcomes.

While the content of Code.org curriculum and professional learning is not imbued with AVID pedagogy, AVID has identified value in presenting these resources broadly for minimal cost.
